    Tyler I think you need to do a little re-look and a re-think on the temp sender in the thermostat housing.

    I'm building an FE powered (with 63 T Bird Tri-Power intake) in a 64 custom.

    The hole behind the distributor looks small .....it's 1/4" NPT, but every aftermarket guage set I have has an adaptor that does fit it.

    The problem with running the temp sender in the thermostat housing is that it only reads the water temp AFTER the thermostat has opened. Unless your running a fail safe thermostat, most normal thermostats fail in the closed position 99% of the time. In other words your engine can be toast before the temp guage even registers.
