    Okay...
I officially apologise for the use of a particular word on this board!!
I'm sorry for posting bad language...
I admit I didn't think about kids reading this, when I posted it...(probably because I have none myself) I certainly didn't realise I'd be offending people, who have to deal with stuff like this during their work!

I did think of the fact that some owners of this particular powerplant might not appreciate it being made fun of...(and would not see the fun intended.) all the rest truly slipped my mind or attention!
So again; Sorry, it wasn't intentional!

I'm not the type to boast about my FE...I am proud of having rebuild one myself, but i do realise it's my first, so just the fact that i accomplished finishing it, without blowing it up is a big deal to me!
I don't expect it to reach even 500 HP, even though the PC DYNO predicts figures well above that.
As long as it is reliable and strong running for as long as i intend to drive it around, I would be very glad to be able to say i did a good job...

I don't know if they make a kit for FE's or not, but you could retain the stock hood, and run one of the belt driven units that mount with brackets to the frong of the engine, but are down on the side of the engine rather then on top..... They work very well, too!!!!

Pleaeaeassseee don't get me all hot for more power again!
I'm just about done, getting the transmission ready for the pumped up 390...

And I would have to fit another new set of pistons, 'cause I'm running 11 to 1 static Cr right now, wich is borderline pumpgas acceptance as it is, without pressurised inductance aids

completely agree...500, 600, 700, or even 1000...it's just sluggish anyway...
why spend several thousands to gain this little bit more power!

on a more serious note let's see it together as I planned it to be...with the measily 500 horsies...and see if it all stays together, recognisable as a "car", wich one could call anything close to reliable

maybe ... if i succeed in doing that, I might considder going blown on a second project

    nice!

I haven't got the availability of a real brake-in stand so I can't actually measure the new power it's producing now... Oh well...the PC dyno predicts something in between the 440-515 Range and that's fine with me!

just out of curiousity, what did you do with your "stock" 390? any major changes to get it to that number?

    got pics?

always nice to see a fresh new rebuild engine!
