I recently bought a 64 Galaxie 500 XL and amt rying to identify the engine in it. I was told it was a 390 when I bought it but have not found a way to verify that as of yet. Where do I find the codes/numbers theat will give me the information I want? This was a drag car in the early 80's at the Formosa (SP?) drap strip in Bakersfield California. It still runs very strong (With trip deuces) and I plan to leave it like that. Any info someone can give me will be appreciated.
