    Question looking for a sideoiler

I've just found this forum site in looking for info about and where one might aquire a 427 side oiler. What about the 300 HP. marine eng. ? What kind of money would one expect to pay for a buildable piece ? Is anyone dealing in the side oilers specifically ? Comments, suggustions, and directions are greatly appreciated.

I have a 427 low riser, top oiler.......30 over 12.5, strong motor, good oiler. stock cam etc. Beautiful heads.......complete with flywheel, ansen scattershield, no orginal carbs, or headers......I have Mustang hooker 180 degree headers. I will trade for good bluegrass guitars of equal value........

Try www.keithcraft.com or www.gessford.com as they do lots of FE motors. I saw that Keith had mentioned recently that he has some S/O's around, and he also has the genesis blocks too.

As for the marine blocks, they are not true S/O's unfortunately. They are 427's, but they are not drilled as sideoilers (they have the hump along the drive side though, although not drilled). 427 center oilers are fine for street use, so unless you're really wanting to push the high rpm's, it's not necessary. On the flip side, I have an S/O in my Cobra, and I dig it.
