    hey guys,

I need your guys'es help, I am looking at a 360fe motor, its been bored 45 over, so what does that make it?

It still has the 360 stroke, but its been bored out so what does that make it? 365? 395? ????

    Any info is very appreciated....

    Thanks,

If you know the stock bore just add that to the 45 and x's it to the stroke x's 8 and you'll have it.

Does it really matter? 3-5 cubic inches of extra displacement from boring a motor is nothing. That's like 1.4% more displacement. If you're making a respectable 300 hp, that's an extra 4 horsepower to be had if the engine is still making the same power per cubic inch.

I get 368.77 cu in or a 369 rounding it to the next highest number.

Thanks for all the info guys i realy needed it as you can tell. I think I am going to call the guy that sold me this motor as a 390 and tell him he was mistaken about it being a 390 thats been bored 45 over.

my gut told me that it was a 360 but I need some proof to stand on....

    Thanks,
    John

Are you certain about the stroke? 360 and 390 both have the same 4.050" stock bore, but the 360 uses a 3.500" stroke with 6.540" rods while the 390 uses a 3.780" stroke with 6.489" rods.
