I have a question for you all. is it possible to put a 460 into my LTD? i don't know if it'll fit, but if they can put a 427 into that year why not a 460? i need to know before i make this purchase.

If you don't mind fabricating mounts and building your own headers it'll go in just fine, works fine too. Before ya drop in the 460, treat it to a stroker kit, aluminum heads, roller cam, carb and intake, really wakes em up!!!!!

I think if you get the mounts from a 69 to 70 and maybe 71-2 big merc and LTD with a 429 a 429/460 could be bolted in. The frames look identical with the exeptions of where the bumpers bolt on to the frames back to 65,I am thinking about doing the same to my 65 country squire when the 390 gets tired. 73-78 big car mounts might work too.
