Had my first start up on the rebuilt 460 today. It was great having it start right up and idle on the first go round. Here is a short video.

I'll take your word for it, great work Steve, this has got to motivate you, not that you need it.
Ken

I got a video posted there

man that sounds awesome!!! how come your engine sounds so much better than mine?! you running it with the exhaust system all done already or just out the headers? what cam do you have in it? HP?
Red
Thanks Red. It is just running straight stock exhaust manifolds but no pipes or mufflers. The cam is mild and I'm guessing 350-375 h.p., maybe more with the headers on. Stock for these heads and block is around 330.
man it sounds great, I can't wait till the mufflers are on ours, hopefully it sounds as good as we're looking for.
Looks and sounds good Steve!!!! Must be nice to be outside doing that, current temp here is -5 and piles of white stuff all over the ground!!!!
I hide in the big shop, not even any windows there so I can work away in 72 degree comfort and don't have to see the snow!!!! As long as I can stay busy I do ok in the winter... It's those "sick days" that I have to spend in the house that drive me crazy!!! (or would that be crazier???):LOL:
Thanks Guys!
We have had rain for the last few days, but today was beautiful in the 60's. Had to get out there and get it going.
Dave don't know how you do it! Must have a heated shop!
Ken I heard it has been beautiful down there, per my in-laws.
Red what kind of mufflers are you going to use?
It was in the 80's yesterday. Motor sounds great, I bet your neighbors are really happy.
Ken
Yeh, thats why I waited until mid day, to do it! Wait until I start painting, then they'll really love me!:LOL::LOL:
Sounds really good Steve. Always a moral booster when you can fire them up and hear them run. :D Makes all those long days and nights worthwhile.
