    460 without overdrive vs with

     



    78 F350 2wd. Would it be worth it to put in an overdrive to save on gas and rpms. I have 33" tires on the back, not sure on the gears.

    Good thought but the Ford OD trans is not even close in strength compared to the C6 trans you have now and there's no way you want to tow anything with it..
    I remember when hot rods were all home made.
