    429 roller rockers

I have an early 429 in a 68 falcon. So far it's all stock, with DOVE-C heads. Any ideas on how to install full roller rocker arms on these heads?

I also will be performing this swap. Ive researched this and this is what i found. Looks like your gonna need some big block Chevy screw in studs, guide plates and some hardened push rods to complete the roller rocker conversion. Make sure to check your piston / valve clearence beacuse this may ( i could be wrong ) change your stock lift height.

Stock ratio roller rockers won't change your valve lift. ARP makes studs for the 429, guide plates are available from a bunch of different companies, check the Summitt or Jegs's site, quite sure they will have the entire set up. This would probably be a good time to replace the pushrods, too. Make sure the push rods are compatible with guide plates.

Thanks for the info, guys. I had heard that chevy rockers were compatible, and I even went out and bought a set. But when I went to install them, I couldn't help but wonder how they would stay centered over the valves. Being the novice I am, guide plates never entered the equation. Gotta learn somehow, eh?

I have a 514 with DOVE-C heads and I put chevy big block roller tip rocker arms and guide plates , they work great but you will need hardened push rods . My motor turns 6500 RPMs easly.I did get flack for having chevy parts in my ford , but it stops when they are looking at my tail lights
