flathead v8 for 51 ford
where can I find a flathead V8 for my 51 ford and How do I know what type should be in there?

The flathead engine that came with the 51 ford was know as a 8BA. The engine had a cubic inch displacement of 239 and a compression of 6:80.1. You can still find these in junk yards but they a getting scarce. Try E-Bay but be sure of any engine you do buy has been checked for cracks in the block.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
