 well here is a flat head V8 not a ford but a caddy 37 she is a big old girl.i did some crack repair work thru deck and 3 sleeves and a deck job and looks like she will be good to go .i am going to used inconel bbc ex valves cut down for the ex side and 1.880 ex bbc for intake . both are rigth for length valves springs look like bbf 460 will get the job done . i will be getting it up in the mill to cut in the seats and finsh the seats in the mill .fun..fun  Last edited by pat mccarthy; 02-27-2010 at 03:42 PM.  Wow nice work, thats the first time I seen a V - 8 flathead torn down.
 Of course I am not a flat head guy, but it locks cool anyway. I have always been curious
 about how the valves worked in them, so I guess I'm getting my first lesson.

 Do you have and speed equipment for the 337? Just curious as I know it's hard to find. It's definitely a cool looking engine. I've been a flathead man since the early 50's.
