    full flowing oiling

I want to install a full flowing oiling system on a 53 merc block and since I've never done this beford I want to be sure I'm right before proceeding. I've been told to drill a horizontal hole for an oil line fitting on the lower side near the back of the block and a verticle oil line fitting at the top and back of the block. Is this correct?

Check out Hot Rod and Custom Supply. I think they sell the Motorcity Flathead full flow oil system. Works great.
