53 Merc Flathead:
I have a line on a 53 Merc flathead that resides in the Midwest. It was pulled from a 53 Merc owned by the town mechanic, who reportedly started it frequently in storage until he died of old age. The buyer yanked it when repowering the Merc with a Chev. It sits with an OD tranny and a separate manifold with two twos, and is available to be palletized and shipped to me. Seller wants $750 plus carb setup, possibly including, but I'd have to get it shipped ($) to Oregon, and obviously not mangnafluxed, and surely no guarantee, considering the distance. Comments invited.
