    Question engine for 39 merc

     



    I am looking for a 95 horse ford motor or one that will fit a 39 mer without alot of modifications for wiring, motor mounts and such thank you gary jay

    You can use the 49-53 motors if you use 53 truck waterpumps and bellhousing. Jeff

    How about a '40 merc motor? That would fit right in, but it would need to be completely rebuilt. You can use the later model motors but youll have to use the later water pumps, an adapter and play with the tie rods a bit.
