Anyone planning on attending? Ive been to the show every year- its a lot of fun and VERY relaxing to attend. Has some really good vendors (STreamline/Gennie Shifter etc) and its at a great venue (Gunstock MT Ski area).

Laconia, NH/Syracuse, NY—Laconia Nationals, LLC and the Right Coast Association will co-produce the 2008 Laconia Nationals, May 23-25 at the Gunstock Ski Area in Gilford, NH.


More than 600 vehicles are expected to register for the show which is a Memorial Day Weekend tradition for New England car enthusiasts. The event is open to vehicles model year 1980 and older.


One Laconia Nationals participant will be selected at random as a finalist to win the 2008 Right Coast Give Away Hot Rod. Entrants will also be eligible to win an impressive list of prizes at the show including a complete body package valued at $8,000 from Wild Rod Factory.


Friday will feature the traditional events, such as the mid-day cookout at Jim Lowery’s Hot Rods, the Mayor’s Kickoff Parade, Poker Run and the Cruise Night at Weirs Beach on the shores of Lake Winnepesaukee.


The Gunstock location offers on-site camping and RV hookups, a complete restaurant and lounge and lots of parking space for “show cars” on level, mowed lawns.


Saturday’s event schedule will include a huge chicken BBQ and a controlled “burnout contest” and “flame show”. “Memphis Rockabilly” will perform all weekend.


Show participants and their families will also be able to take advantage of some terrific fishing, swimming, playground and miniature golf facilities. A high-speed chair lift to the top of Gunstock Mountain will provide rodders and guests with a panoramic view of the entire Lakes Region.


The Manchester Cruisin Nights car club will host the show and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Laconia Teen Center.
