heyo steveo, my guess is that you need to install 66-68 jets up front. What you do is start with 66 size. Warm it up and drive highway speeds. Then try and accelerate slowly and see if it lays down. If it stumbles, you need to either go another size bigger, install a bigger accelerator cam or squitter nozzle size.

If you check your spark plug color, and if the color is on the dark side, you need to go smaller jets.
