I have the same problem except I have a 454 with a Edelbrock cam, carb and manifold. Mine "pops" through" the carb if I go WOT all of sudden. It will not pop if I gently press on the accelerator. I have to place another spring so that I do not have so much play in the throttle.1979 Chevy Scottsdale K20 4X4 P/U w/4" lift, 454 w/4BBL Edelbrock 750 cfm carb, Turbo 400 tranny, Magna-Flow Exhaust
