I have a Holley model 4165 spreadbore carb , it is 800 C.F.M. and has mechanical secondaries. The choke has been removed and it pop's when the engine is cold . I am thinking of rebuilding it . I think at least one of the power valves is blown. I would replace it and install a power valve protector kit.The carb run's really rich does anyone know what jet's I should be using . Also would it be worth it to try to hook the choke back up or mill the top of the carb for more flow? I won't be running it in cold weather anyway. The carb is on a 70 454 running about 425 H.P. with a Edelbrock Performer manifold.
