I have a 350 that is running for a second or two after shut off i have checked my timing and it is set at 8 deg. I also checked my carb to make shure that that secondaries are closing all the way. I put 88 octane in it today and it is still doing it. Can someone help me!!!!!! PLZ

I had the same problem with my engine not too long ago and it was driving me friggin' nuts. Fortunately, another guy was having the same problem as me in a different forum and suggested that I turn my idle down. I was idling at 800 rpms when it was dieseling, then I turned it down to 500 rpms and BY GOD the dieseling went away! I hope this helps some.
