Thanks. is fuel bowling it what it sounds like, soak it in a bowl of fuel? the car has been sitting since i got it a year ago. i fired it up for the fist time today.
i added a small piece of fuel line, replaced the fuel pump and gave it an oil change and i took off the carb and sprayed it with starter fluid all i had.
i think the tank was completely empty or very low. i figured i would add about four gallons of premium to dilute any water in the tank.
After all that i started it with in a few tries. i think the it had a quite a few vacuum leaks because it was idling high.
these cars do have a lot of vacuum lines from the w/s whipper to the concealed head lights.
techinspecter1 said these engines were built to run on leaded gas. the quality fuel they used to have back in the days wouldn't cause other things like this fuel we got.
after that five minute run with me on the accelerator by the carb it ran by its self for a few minutes then i decided to accelerate it some more and then finally died.
and cold get it to run again. flooded maybe. sorry for my typing. worked grave last night.
