i have seen that many time with a bbc that why i build roller cam engines only on bbc .you will have to cut alot off the heads to pick up any CR then you can loose piston to valve room as well as the intake may need a trim to fit back on .if coming all down you can 0 deck the block as well that will help with the CR
For you or any others who encounter kick-back against the starter while using considerable initial ignition timing, you can use a momentary push-off switch mounted on the dash or column. Interrupt the feed wire to the coil with this switch. Depress the switch and spin the motor up with the starter, then release the switch to fire the motor.
yup i done that on the gto been that way for 20 years after taking the nose off some starters . never have it kick back much any more .but i like to crank it thru before i hit the ign . abit like the old II war planes:3dSMILE:Quote:
