    they are who i've been working with on things... but they won't help for the street. they don't make a spool even for what i'm trying.

    I've worked on that system quit a bit, but years ago. They where run pretty exclusiveley on V.W. powered midgets. Never ever seen a Hilborn run worth a tinkers dime on the street,and that's why Hillborn ain't helping you much.
    Trash especially with alky is gonna be your biggest problem.If that thing sits over a week with fuel in it,your almost gaurenteed to spend a saturday cleaning the system. But I got the feeling your gonna try it anyway. I would suggest you use the attached plumbing schematic,They don't show it but I would put a big filter between the tank & the pump, that schematic assures that every piece on the system recieves filtered fuel. set your s valve at 22 lbs,use a high speed and set it at 54 lbs.
    I would start with about a 95 pill (jet),and remember the bigger the pill the leaner she gets (backwards from a carb). Far as the barrel valve pull the line and fitting from the top of the block you'll see what appears to be a hole, (it should dissapper when you open the throttle and is acually a slot) anyway with the throttle closed you should be able to use an 1/8 drill bit as a feeler gauge in that hole to get it at a starting point. That should get ya up and running and you can fine tune from there. Also go to Kinsler sight as the info is lots better and their system is very similar.

    thanks for the help! i'm not seeing a schematic though...

    I've actually got the big, big Hilborn cleanable filter going on the set up. If I run alky, I know to clean the system and run oil through it. I was going to run a 1.oo pill, is that too lean you think?

    Sorry about that.the schematic did'nt load and I had to blast outa here soon as I hit the submit post button last night. And yes I think a 1.00 pill might be to lean especially on an air cooled motor.Remember you can run alky fat without power loss like gasoline.
