I've run everything from Accel dual point distributors to their Super Coils and replacement caps/rotors/etc. No real complaints. I have also used similar Mallory parts and find them to be fine too.

Probably just boils down to brand loyalty. I have Accel stuff on my '27 and my Jeep truck, and Mallory stuff on my T, so I haven't chosen one over the other due to any noteworthy performance gains or losses.
