Talking Any Fellow Rodders With Fi Harness Knowledge?

    I wanted to go with a LS2 but I'm leaning toward a LS1 now.

Does anyone know the direction I should take with the fuel injection harness?

I know that I'll have to have the ECU reflashed to rid of the security and add the specific data (tire size, etc). I also know that Street Performance makes a harness as well as the myriad of others out there (Painless) that also makes them. But good grief.....a $1000+ for just a wires?

I'm guessing everyone will suggest that I get a wiring diagram for the specific year and modify the existing harness myself.

I was just hoping that someone out there did that for less? I'm not real savvy with fuel injection. This is my first build.

    Anyone?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback.

    Man...my head is swimming.....

Just trying to get the most for the dollar....which is starting to lead me away from the LS toward a bigblock/700r4. Maybe a reman 427 or 454. I might buy a fuel injection kit (like and newer Enderle style) for it later when dollars permit. Right now...I'd just like to decide for sure what block I'm using so I can get started on the mounts/frame Xmember etc. Once Ive decided....it will be set in stone so I wont be a pest......LOL's.

    Really thanks!
