sounds like exhaust. Look for air leaks in the rear of the car. Sometimes ( usually, I think ) there is a high pressure area at the rear of the car, and if you have air leaks, exhaust can come in..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
