....Denny, I KNEW this would happen!!! I asked this question, saw you were on line & as I was replying to your post "To My Fellow Members" I thought; "Denny is going to answer my question BEFORE I can even reply"!!! THANKS AGAIN DENNY!!! Ok, so the jets that are $7 for two are the same ones that are $15 for 22.... I'm changing from size 71/83 to 70/82 because my engine is running rich {I have the idle set lean, if anything}. I was looking over my Dyno sheets & noticed that there was really no difference in HP & TQ between the 71/83 & the 70/82's.... I ran out of dyno time so I just said to leave the bigger ones in. You know, my thinking was; MORE is better! Just one more question then; 1) Do I have to use the drill bit to check the jet size if I know what size jets are in it now??? I guess what I'm saying is; So all size 81 jets have the same size hole size??? Example is; Jeg's has a size 81 jet with a size .093" hole. Do ALL size 81 jets have a size .093" hole???? whew, Bill

I understand that Holley jets are rated by flow and not by numbered drill size.
That said, seems a little wasteful in the man-hours dept to check each jet.
Far better to drill a couple hundred with one drill, then step up to the next drill size for the next batch.
If they are rated by flow, more than likely one or two jets out of a batch are checked and rated.
Nothing like adding a little confusion to the mix.
I like Holley's and this is just part of the fun.
Even so, I think I'll stick with my Erector Set carb....
