sound like it is not rigth. go back to the parts store with the old one .the thing with gm pumps is a lot of them have the same bolt patens and they will bolt up even if not rigth and the new pump may have not been box rigth .or this has the wrong pump arm on it this will not pump the full shot with a short arm whacked:
