    electric fuel pump

    sup all!!
i had holley electric fuel pump (the blue pump) that was 110 gph at open 14 psi ( i had regulated) pump took a good 1 down the drain. Bought a new 1 off ebay equal to the holley black pump which is 140 gph at open 14 psi (saved a ton of money) but at the time of installing this new pump and firing for the fist time with this new pump it ran rich. Just thought it was from not hooking up a wire and flooded it so ran for awhile and this thing just runs rich. did some jet changes gettin better but need to drop primaries more . my ? is did the first pump never run right or would the gph even though they are rated at the same psi create more psi after the regulator?

you never said what the pressure was at the carb. you would only need to know the gph at WOT, has nothing to do with it at idle. around town drivivg all you need to know is psi. 5 to 6 psi would be good for a holly. if you are running 14 psi at the carb. then thats your problem.
