if the timing is computer controled there is a plug at the dist. you have to unpluge before you can set the timing. unplug the plug and sat the timing at 5 degrees, plug the plug back up and thats all you need to do.Originally posted by canibalchicken
Ok I have a 1973 SBC 350 with .040 over size bore. Gapless rings, 1.6 ratio roller rockers. Cam is .453 (I/E) w/ 230 duration. The top of the motor is 1993 TBI intake and heads. It has the computer controled distributor. Where would be my best starting point to set the timing?
