    help with carb please

     



    i have a holley 750 double pump 80508 when i step on it she bogs down just for a second
    but after the hasation it goes good im almost posative that its the carb new plug ,wire,rotor and new cap
    its all new on a new motor 350 sb with a mild cam the timing good to

    try a smaller acelerater pump squrter on the primary (front) side first. Start with a 28. then work on the secondarys. If You can take it to the dragstrip on test & tune night, it wont cost a lot and you'll have unlimited runs. Use you timeslips to tune your squrters. Good luck

    If your accelerator pump shot is good,,,check for vaccume advance,,,,,or the lack of it,,,,could be anything from sticky, or holed diaphram,,,advance weights worn and seized.

    i just ordered a accelerator pump tunning kit so

    So if the engine bogs down is it too big a squirter or not big enough. I thought it would be too small a squirter?

    depends....if it's a bog or a flutter....

    Bog is usually lean...

    fluttering is usually a sign of to much....

    Have some one stand/watch from behind to see any signs of black smoke.....that will be a good clue...

    lean mixture screws, timing, throttle blades in rite location at idle
