Re: Blower sizes
the size is determined by the amount of air it can pump. the bigger the blower the more air it will move. the 4 and 6-71 blowers was built to pump enought air to run a 4 or 6 cylinder motor with 71 cu. in. per cylinder. so say a 6 x 71 = 426 cu. in. or 8 x 71= 568 cu. in. you increase or decrease the amount of boost with the size of the pulley. you need the bigger blowers when you get into the higher rpmsOriginally posted by AmericanMuscle1
i was just wondering how they determine the size of blowers? i know theres 671 871 1071 1271 and 1471 blowers but how are they sized and i also heard that you can boost your psi bu changing your pully sizes....what would be a good blower for a 454
