283 cam advice
Need some help.I have a stock 283 with I think power pack heads cstng 3884520 60cc with 1.72 &1.5 valves. They are getting hardened seats put in them.I am running an alum. intake and a 4barrel quadrojet with a 350 turbo. This is going in my 32 three window coupe, the weight will be aprox 2600 lbs,278 gear.OK so I need some advice on a cam.I want to keep the power in the low end maybe with just a little bit of thump, but I don't want to have to worry about it pushing me thru the stop light at idle.Would like to use something from speed pro.So needs some specs. Thanks Mike (ps will be running hei with high output coil)

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
