    lt1 s10 anyone help

Well Here it is in a nutshell..

I have a Lt1 out of a 94 Roadmaster What mods do I have to do specifically for everthing to work in my 82 s-10?

    O2 sensors?
Does ac pump have to come off come off?

If anyone has any info that would be great..

I already have motor mounts and radiator ....

    Thanks
    Rick

rick, just finished putting a lt1 in 1997 that had a 4.3 in it so i didnt have to cut that much. you will need all of the sensors on the motor to make it run. depending on the st you live in whether you hook up the smog or not. the biggest thing is the ac comp. you have to notch out the frame rail right much for that, the rad. and ac cond. has to come foward a much as posible. i used the lt1 manifolds but if i did another one id use the smaller ones and it wont hurt your power that much. you need to get the used computor and wireing harness, but you can buy them if you like. youll need to move the steering column over as much as posible. loosen it at the firewall, may have to cut and move the holes over. youll need to cut out for the exhaust both sides, cut the frame for the ac comp. cut the cross member a little for the pan, the valve cover will hit the ac box, the seam on the fire wall will have to be flatten out, (take a hammer and flatten that out before you do anything) and the steering moved over. its hard for me to tell you everything to do, but id be glade to answer all ? if i can. you need to get you a wiring diagram before you start, youer going to need it. the cross member will have the be moved back a little and youll have to do something with the drive shafts. i have the ext. cab. so the shaft would be dif. what trans. are you going to use?you didnt say if you had the tools or know how to do this. its not that hard to do but you are dealing with so many dif. things. youll have to sat the motor over in the truck first to see how much to cut and where. ive got to run now but i think ive got some pic. that i can send you later today. hope this makes sense and ask away. the big thing is get everything you can off of the car you got the motot from(or one like it) you will need to put a 60 lb. fuel pump eather in the tank or install an external one.
