I am still having trouble with my jeep. Quick review, been sitting for 20 or so years before I got it. drained the oil, gas, new plugs, wires, filters, carb overhaul, points, condenser, cap/rotor, new oil, gas. Still when I go to start it it tries to catch but will not keep running. It acts like it is going to run but when I give it some throttle after it catches it then dies. Someone earlier stated maybe there is still some bad gas. Could this be the problem?? I am going to get some starter spray and try some fresh gas directly in the carb and see if that works..Any other suggestions?? also to be sure, does anyone know the gap set on 283 points?? Thanks..Paul
