    454 engine

Hi I have a chevy 454 4 bolt main out of a 1989 1 ton dually did they ever manufactur these engines with forged cranks ? I lost the crank pulling my 5th wheel ! And the engine was new with only 12,000 miles on it !! It has a cast crank I had the original engine overhauled and I think the crank was switched! could you find out if the engine came with a steel crank by use of the vin#. Thanks night rider
