    I want new heads?

I have a 82 chevy 4x4 with a 350. It has a mild cam, headers, msd ignition, performer manifold, 750cfm, flowmaster exhaust. I am looking for more ponies and considering news heads. The heads I have now are 76cc. What heads can i use that with increase horsepower and i can use on pump gas, and what are camel hump heads?

CAMEL HUMP HEADS ARE 60'S 327 HEADS AND OFFER GREAT POWER FOR WHAT THEY ARE BUT THE DRAWBACK WITH THESE HEADS ARE THAT MOST DO NOT HAVE ACCESSORY HOLES IN THE FRONT OR BACK OF THE HEAD, MEANING INSTALLING THE POWERSTEERING, ALT, AC, PB ECT. IS GOING TO BE TOUGH!IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THESE HEADS LOOK FOR CASTING (462) RATHER THAN (461) SOME 462 HAD ACC. HOLES DRILLED IN THEM!

you can run 461's and bolt everything up if you use a set of ramshorns exhaust headers

cammel hump heads are not just 327 heads....the originals were...I believe 1.94 intake and I forgot the exhaust..1.58 or 1.60...later the fuelie head (327) came out as 2.02/1.60..these were cammel or double humps too...so are my angle plug 2.02/1.60 that were the early LT1 head....and those were 350's...that's the one you want....

    hambiskit,

Before I sell my 461 heads, please explain what you mean by bolting accessories to the rams horn exhaust manifolds. I am mainly NOT interested in the 461 (besides the high compression when fitted to a 350) because I would have to drill holes without bosses or buy a very expensive rig to add a future AC unit.

    Don,

These folks have brackets to mount your accessories with the old style heads. And they are a lot cheaper and easier than swapping heads. Check them at:

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

    Don,
I have a matching set of 461's that you couldn't pry from my fingers. Yes they have a smaller chamber (63 cc ) but they flow great, and the flat top pistons drop the compression ratio plenty.
As for hanging your AC unit it would be easy to fab. up a bracket for that.Or you could use the brackets from an '84 Silverado that hang from the intake & water pump.
