    TPI questions on a swap...?

    Looking for some opinions/ideas...

I have a "stock" '87 Corvette TPI motor and 700r4 that I'm planning on transplanting into my '55 Chevy truck.

Most I've talked to say to change it from MAF to Speed Density which means a computer upgrade.... I"m not sure I understand all the pros and cons. I have the entire wire harness, sensors and ECM from the stock unit. I guess one thing is that with the speed density set up you can mount the air cleaner right to the throtle body and not have to deal with the bulky MAF unit.

I'm in the process of doing a swap now and you should call fuel injection Specialtys. They have the low down on all the swaps and you might consider that the computer will have to be reprogramed for your swap.
