    Mr.Spears, your last post triggered a memory from a long time ago, in basically the same setting but "Tip Speed" was the topic for of all things... a lawn mower!

    And for basically the same reasons there is a peak speed for the pitch / angle etc.. and the govenor setting includes the load at an average speed, so when you try to pull a few extra revs and speed up the process - you may actually defeat the intention.

    Lawn mowers were actually pretty critacal as they made them larger---before they went to double/triple blades
