    Chevy 454 intake

I'm in the process of building my first Big Block Chevy. The intake is a Weiand Dual Quad Tunnel Ram. When I layed the intake on the engine, the water jacket ports on the heads were visible. The gaskets cover the holes for the water port but I'm curious to know if this is normal. My question is: Is it just the gasket that covers the water ports or have I purchased the wrong Intake manifold? Any assistance would be appreciated.
