TA Blues part II........
Didnt know if you guys would continue posting to the last thread so I started anew........The filter that was on the TA when I got it blew the seal when I first put it together, now 2 filter and about 10 Qts o crude later, its did it again, I hoped it would be somethin simple, maybe not. engine seems to be running OK, gotta get my elec fan wired and a thermostat in there next. I reseated the rubber seal on the filter and tightened it as tight as I could by hand, it seems to be working for now, we'll just have to wait and see......thanx for all of your help..........

What oil pressure do you have at startup and during normal operation?

Try turning the filter another 1/4 turn beyond finger tight with a filter wrench. There is a bypass valve that opens if the filter is plugged so it shouldn't blow the seal unless the bypass is stuck or the filter is too loose.
