Edelbrock Intake Manifold
I have a 67 Corvette with a 350 and I have an Edelbrock intake manifold labeled C3BY. I want to replace it with a polished aluminum intake and I have been told the only Edelbrock to fit under the hood is the Torker II. I can't find any info on the C3BY manifold I have to compare it to the Torker II....as I am concerned that I will lose power by making this change. Can anyone help with the spec's on the current manifold I have?? Thx!

I do not have any information on the numbers but I can suggest you to www.motorchrome.com for the intake, they sell chrome intakes there but, there not true edlebrock intakes, there edlebrock style so they say preformer, torker and things like that in the descriptions for the part, the good thing about this is there about 100 bucks cheaper. Ex. $229 edle preformer polished intake from jegs, $149 preformer style polished intake from motorchrome. I hope this helps.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I wouldn't see why a polished performer wouldn't fit under the hood I would steer away from the torqer just because unless your racing it the low end torq isn't there...back to the c3by I really couldn't find anything on it other than the c3b is three barrel? and a c4b is 4 barrel? I think this info is wrong. Forgot to ask by why not have the c3b polished? I asked about polishing my original intake and was told it would be around $300 to do it, therefore, I thought it would be best to buy a new one. Thanks for the info regarding the low end torq. I may need to reconsider my plan. Thx!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
