    LS1 gaskets

Has anyone ever heard something about LS1 gaskets (the metal ones with the rubber bead) being reuseable?

I reused the ones on my valve covers. No leaks in two plus years and 8k miles. I would think if they are in good shape (literally) you should be able to use them. On the other hand, if there is any doubt at all would be better to go wth new ones, nothing worse than a motor you just put back together tha leaks and will require significant tear down to fix.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Can't argue with that; I guess it's worth a few hundred bux to play it safe. Thanks!
