8.200 deck height sounds like a small block Ford. Is that what you want?

Definitely gonna be a short stroke, short rod engine!!! You'd have to spin a whole bunch of revs to make much power...... What the heck is the bore size on it???? Did you make a typo on the deck height maybe????

As for putting a Ford in it, better make sure the chassis is working great before you add that much power!!!!!!!

I would not consider them red flags. Its an aftermarket racing block built to rev and hold many many RPM'S. And only to be ran as that. My biggest thing would be that it has failed already. Though it can be repaired, but is there something else wrong that has not yet been seen.

I got this from the guy.

I still have the block. I think the bore size was about 4.170. Being it was the first time having an aluminum block I am not sure the costs to repair would be for a couple liners and some welding to build up the pan rail.

i do alot the sleeves are not cheap 120.00to 150.00
just for the one sleeve them you need a oven to put them in right then the welding and how much of that? if you need 8 holes done and welding after that could need a deck job and line bore or hone then your 1/2 the way there for a new alum block or all the way there for iron the thing with alum you can not get the alum back to a T6 after it been welded on you would have to take out all the T6 then welded it up with 355 filler rod then re heat treat if some were it needs to be strong if not it just past lead soft in the repair and the block is not as strong were it was fix
