Question about engine with a small carb?
We started up a engine which is a 350 bored .30 over and 74 cc heads dish pistons . It has a comp cams economy cam dont know the specs but can get them and a edelbrock Performer spreadbore intake. It also has a MSD ignition and 2.5 pipes with flow masters. So I think its a Mild build. BUT, it also has a tea cup carb Could the carb cause it to stumble at a certain RPM? It seems to idle and run good up to "about" 2000-3000 RPM. Then it stumbles and can not go any higher...... I am thinking it something to do with the dist. not the carbLast edited by BigTruckDriver; 03-18-2008 at 07:10 PM.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
