Wondering if anyone on the board has used or knows about the K&N Stubstack Air Horn. How did it work or not work for you, reading about it I have the impression larger jets could be warranted.. Anyway would like to here more.. thanks

i used one on my Z28. they advertise a 5 to 10 horse gain or something like that. its not a feel it in your pants gain, and i really cound not feel any difference. also i recall i had to slightly modify my breather to fit after i put it on.

Guess not many have see this thing or played with it. What it looks like to me is that is takes out the hight and interference the incoming air encounters as it passes around the air horn to get to the secondaries. Using a stubstack, I think the air to the secondaries would smooth out and speed up, meaning more air, and a possible lean condition, which is a good thing because if the engine is asking for more fuel it wants to go faster . K&N are pretty good at the intake game , the air filters sure do show improvements, for 20 bucks I think I am willing to give it a try.............. anyway that is the plan should be fun finding out. All comments welcomed BTW

I had a couple I bought on eBay. Then I sold them on eBay. You can't trust sellers to always know the application. I finally figured them out so I could inform bidders as to what they were bidding on. You have to run a tall air filter to have the clearence so you don't limit air to the carb. I think I read 1 1/2" or more. If you are running a 3" tall filter like I was, it just won't work.
