Comp cams has made available thier software for cam selection,it also has a little dyno report /exspected hp for each engine mod!!!!!!

It was pretty much right on with the desktop dyno sims ,that my engine was ran thru .
It sure is fun to play with ...lol,

I just ran it against one of my dyno pulls.
Not bad.
It was within 3%.
This has to be one of the best I have seen for a "free" price.

Just click on the bore numbers and you can edit them on the main screen!The bore listing in the left hand boxes.All the paramenters are adjustable ,valve size ,bore size ,by clicking on them and useing backspace to delete them or clear the whole box and enter any number.
They will be to be updating this ,as the update feature already exists ,I imagine after awhile ,other brand intakes will make the line up..............maybe.......

You can't change the bore size, because there is nothing else listed in the pull down list. Try my ford, 410, bore 4.050. Try to change it to 4.110. It won't stay there.

When you first pull the mouse over the item in question ,it appears black around the numbers,click it once,then hit backspace,insert the correct bore size and hit enter.

I did not notice they changed it back

I put my ported head flow #'s in and picked a similar comp cam to what I am running and it came out with 558HP at 6500RPM and 512TQ at 4500RPM. Is there any way to put your own cam specs in or will it only do comp cams? This little 396 is going to rip!

In this case the sim. is off more than 3%.

I screwed up. I entered the head flow but I didn't know there was a head category. What would a port-matched RPM Air Gap intake be considered? High flow or Max flow dual plane?

Anyways, I put in high flow dual plane intake, stock pocket ported canted valve heads with head flow entered, and all other specs and came up with 440HP at 5500RPM and 490TQ at 4000RPM. Not as satisfying but sounds more reasonable than 560HP.

Hmmm... apparantly it doesn't take head flow numbers. I just changed valve sizes to 2.19 and 1.88 and the #'s are 470HP at 5500RPM and 500TQ at 4000RPM. With the head flow numbers staying exactly the same...

i tried to put my 4.610 bore in and my 5.500 crank what the hell no go i will be looking in to the sim dynomation for my christmass

I get 734.4 ci and 1504.37 cc cylinder volume......... That one piston hole is bigger than most motorcycle engines
But for some reason ,comp dont show a cam for that

well i have the cam made.a custom McCARTHY PERFORMANCE grind i just wanted to throw it at the wall and see if it would stick

The biggest hydro roller they have would give ya ,400 hp at 3000 rpm and 900 ftlbs of torque at 1000 rpm .... ....That may be a little under cammed.......

well i have a solid and is about 800 lift and around 278 IN and more on the ex side on 116lsa i get 972 hp at 6000 and 5500 906 TQ i think i can do abit better but the cam is abit small
