Think I'd really rather send my money to Vic in California then I would some knock off company in China or wherever the heck they are made.... Whatever manifold you get, there's probably a dozen of them for sale on eBay, Craig's list, Racing Junk, and a bunch of the other used part sellers. Hard to complain about jobs being exported overseas and a multitude of other problems buy buying the knock offs. I guess I just decided to make a stand somewhere... Hard to avoid not buying any imported stuff, but I believe I'll stick to supporting the US manufacturer's on Hot Rod parts, especially companies, like Edelbrock, Weiand, Isky and some of the other old, established companies that started the whole Hot Rod thing...... I guess 1 manifold won't have much effect on the trade deficit and heck, it's somebody else's problem anyway, right?????

Well Denny, I am just happy to know you wear pajamas.

made in the USA is great if you can find it ?we were sold out a long time ago there is not to many things not made in other contries that can do it cheaper or better ? some can do both .the intake in question are ok. i have used them if they were total junk they would not be in business and opening up there product line . there is plenty usa companies that out source and the ones that do not .may not have many workers that have a green card as long as someone wants something cheaper there will be someone willing to make it and someone to buy it

Thats where I think 9 out of 10 of the negative answers stem from about the intakes....... Why does it cost 100 dollars to get it from the other side of the world and 300 to get it from our own back yard????

Is this the norm for finish on the Holley? Thing looks bad IMO, it is used though....Even though its used I dont think being used will cause pits and all the other crap in the lower section of it.....

Looks like it has been terribly neglected and ignored, then somebody sandblasted it and is trying to peddle it!!!! Are the inside water passages as hammered as the exterior? If so, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole!!!! If the water passages are good, the exterior damage is just cosmetic and it'll still work just fine.

Maybe the intakes quality is not so bad after all . Heres some foreign made parts STAMP with USA "quality". Got this from another site.

NO wonder that China is now one of the fastest growing economies. Crap' Our food, pet food, electronics, car parts and who knows what is now made there.

I am sure you all will think of hundreds of products.

Eagle = Forged in China w/Chineese Steel - Machined in USA
Scat = = Forged in China w/Chineese Steel - Machined in USA
Cat = = Forged in China w/Chineese Steel - Machined in USA

Ohio Cranks = Foreign Forged with UNK Steel.

Maybe you all will wish to continue this and contribute. Maybe we all should check it each day for surprises and maybe we can all do a tiny part to bringing USA of American Money to stay at home.

this is off abit the callies cranks are made in use but they have aline of cranks and rods that are from over seas the ohio crank is from china but the new 8 plate may be from unk the other cranks are not all machine in the usa like cat scat eagle .but this would have alot to do with what they think falls under machine in the usa. i use the best parts for the money and the king brg are very good i do not care where they come from .alot of this has to do with epa and other groups that do not want this stuff made in the usa .

A lot of it is from companies outsourcing the parts in favor of cheap labor and doing business in a country that does not do their best to make manufacturing as costly as possible and a government that favors importing everything we use!!!!! Everyone wants to be a rah rah flag waver until it effects their checkbook then the foreign made crap is fine!!!!! Don't blame the US manufacturers, blame the US government that has them handcuffed!!!! Money seems to be the only concern these days. Things like integrity and accountability are terribly out of fashion....
