Yep, I don't think any car engine has been made without a filter since the '30's or '40's. *** There has to be a boss or something there.

*** Ok, the VW Beetle didn't have a true filter, just a screen, but I can't think of another one.

what about the 50s buicks with the optional oil filter system? you could run no filter, or run a filter, or even use a roll of toilet paper as your filter
just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
