Isn't that like the "mechanic" in the neighborhood garage near where I grew up that used to tighten Chevy 6's headbolts down 'til they squealed then gave them another half turn??

I thought it was tighten them until they strip and back it off a 1/4..

I had this same problem - I found the keyway on the crank sheared out
Pretty certain it happened while doing a 120mph/high rpms and turning on the A/C - I wont try that again.Go ahead and tell me what you think, just don't expect me to change my mind.

time for a new forum to visit. when they sold sr.com it went down hill fast. no more forum just a cheap site selling junkie cars. the canadians killed hr.com. mods are real pricks. as with any site...
Where is everybody?
