 I thought it was tighten them until they strip and back it off a 1/4..    What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

 Well its fixed, it was the balancer, took it off today, and the outer ring had slipped forward about 1/4", got another one from an old motor, and no more wobbling, just thought i would update you guys on this, you guys were right.

 we always are.... well at least one of us, when we through out 300 different suggestions then one of us should be rightjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

 I had this same problem - I found the keyway on the crank sheared out  
 
 Pretty certain it happened while doing a 120mph/high rpms and turning on the A/C - I wont try that again.Go ahead and tell me what you think, just don't expect me to change my mind.
